In all seriousness, I really don't get the hate for him some have.

Yeah, I don't get it either. But there is no shortage of folks who like to rip down others' success wherever they see it.

The guy at the next table where I saw the SB told his pal’s gf that he hated Brady “...because the Patriots are in the Superbowl every other year. I’m tired of it.” The bf agreed with a “Yup yup.” Amusing to me (but not to the bf or bf’s pal), she sarcastically replied, “That’s why you hate him?! What kind of reason is that?!” I laughed and they all looked over at me somewhat confused. I laughed more.

Yeah, it’s not really that funny but I thought it was because his answer made so much sense to him and his friend...despite it not making any real sense. I’m sure it makes sense to a bunch of Pats haters too.

The bf was the same bonehead from my earlier post here:

Some bonehead at the table next to me kept talking his shit nonstop throughout the game. When that Brady strip/fumble happened, all he had to say was “bla bla bla cheater can’t hold on ha ha bla bla” instead of giving credit to the Eagles for forcing that turnover.

It seems that I come across more bandwagon Pats HATERS than bandwagon Pats fans.

Arena League Football.
In a related note, the sports books took a bath this year in the Super Bowl, with many books reporting six and seven-figure losses.  Around $158 million was bet, and only about a 1% profit overall was reported.  The combined record-breaking offensive performance led to a lot of proposition bets holding up.

Nick Foles - first person to throw AND catch a TD in a Super Bowl :)

NFC East - only Division I believe where every team has won a Super Bowl

NFC East - most total Super Bowls (now 13): Dallas 5, NY 4, Wash 3, Phl 1 (Next closest AFC East and North w 8 each; in each of those NE has 5/8, Pitt has 6/8!)

And the NFC East three times.

I'm impressed with the owners of the Empire State Building

http://philadelphia....g-lit-up-green/

If they put Dallas colors on a building in Philly after they win... well... you know what would happen.

All joking aside this was like a Rocky movie.  The real way to win is to limit the Pats to less than 20 pts.  Instead a fing offensive slugfest ensues (DONT GO TOE TO TOE WITH HIM ROCK!) and we came out just ahead.  Wow.

I'm sure it was an exciting game to watch in a room that didn't have an 82 year old, a 50 year old, and a 14 year old all yelling some version of "WILL SOMEBODY TACKLE HIM?!" for most of the game.  :)

I can't believe it, but I rooted for the Iggles, and I'm damn happy for our nfc east bunk mates. Anybody but those insufferable Pat's. The NFC east is now the only division comprised entirely of sb champions. And perhaps shegull fans can now calm the f down. Sheesh.

The sports book at the MGM in Vegas took a $3 million straight line bet ( the team wins outright) on the Eagles which paid out $4.5 million.

Not likely.  :)

Two things:  Outstanding defensive pressure by the Eagles in the first half and in crunch time, and fantastic effort for yards after contact by the Eagles.  The Pats simply didn't or couldn't tackle like the needed to.
Goose, I like ya but let's be honest here there was no outstanding defense on either team. They both got lit up. 1 punt total, that has to be a record too.
