One of WSU's quarterbacks has apparently died, of  suicide Tuesday.  Tyler Hilinski, a red shirt sophomore.  Hilinski was slated to lead the team next year.

The article ends with

There are no words when there is a tragedy such as this. Our prayers go out to the Hilinski family

That pretty much sums it up  ... Poor kid, what a sad and tragic turn of events

RIP Tyler

Horrible news.   RIP

:rose:

I remember him from the bowl game against Michigan State.   He was in there in place of their starter and they couldnt get anything going,  which is very unusual for a  Mike Leach offense.     I wonder if that, or the pressure to be "the guy" got to him.   And Leach isn't exactly known for being sympathetic.

But it's futile to speculate; it's a horrible story.

Really sad when someone so young with so much going for them does this. Young people don't have the life experience to see the long-term potential that's beyond the immediate problems they're dealing with. Condolences to the family who must be heartbroken.

What a terrible waste :( It is so sad that folks that contemplate doing such things cannot see that suicide is a permanent solution for a temporary problem. :rose:  :rose:
