If I won a lottery I'd wanna be anonymous, lol. Some states (like Illinois) require you to partake in a press conference. Other states just require that you give a name and city of residence. Everything has to be legit, as the lottery commissions are routinely audited. Many states accept blind trusts in lieu of the winner's actual name. I contend that they should relax the odds greatly and give 40 people the chance to become "millionaires" which would have a lot more people buying tickets.
