RushFanForever
Since recently discovering Little Steven & The Disciples of Soul's cover of 'Merry Christmas (I Don’t Want To Fight Tonight)' that I posted in this thread here, I've also checked out his solo discography. Steven Van Zandt has released a new album titled 'Soulfire', which I also checked out that's pretty good. A couple of recent interviews here and here about it. This also has made me discover Van Zandt's 1982 debut album 'Men Without Women'. The hit single 'Forever' has a musical vibe that's similar to Smokey Robinson and The Miracles from the Motown era. The live version of 'Forever' really cooks with the driving rhythm section posted below. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7-xIX7xhAw
The Cat 3
That first album is soooo good! I have all of Little Steven's solo albums. "Born Again Savage" from 1999 is on of my favourite albums by any artist period. Jason Bonham plays drums, Adam Clayton on Bass, Jean Beauvoir Backing vocals and Little Steven on guitars and vocals. I can't recommend it enough. I've seen Little Steven four or five times and each show was better than the last. Underrated musician for sure... ..and a great rock and roll historian. Thanks for the thread...I think you've just mapped out my next marathon.

RushFanForever
For the gearheads, I should point out in the 'Forever' clip that bassist Jack Daley is playing a black 1966 Fender Jazz Bass. It would nearly be mistaken as being a . Edited December 30, 2017 by RushFanForever
