Yoda was one of the best things about Last Jedi. Though brief, he fit in perfectly and looked good too.

Just my take, but Finn and Rose were just filler.  Unless Episode IX features something unexpectedly huge from Finn, he is just filler to me.  He's a solid and likable enough character, but non-essential.

i acually liked him a lot in TFA

they really downgraded him in this film.

No huge loss though.

It's because of Poe Dameron.  Did you sense the spark between him and Rey at the end?  The "Force" will be with them in Episode IX.  ;) ;)

Rey: I’m Rey.
Poe: Yeah, I know.

Oh yeah, they definitely want each other. :sarcastic:
:P

I guess since Finn & Rose are prepped to pair off, they got to pair the hotshot pilot with someone. Oh hey, might as well be the cute little Jedi star. Both couples have the next flick to get it on! :P

((I’m good with nobody being paired off in this trilogy.))

Just got back.  I liked it overall. Much better than TFA which was a huge disappointment.
Things I didn’t like:
Poe thinks he’s starlord
If Rey’s parents were nobodies and she had no training why does she so easily use the force.  I really want an explanation for this.
The way Luke went out.
Things I liked:
They nailed the casting for Rey.  She kills it.
Seeing imperial guards/supreme leader guards in action.
It’s good to see crazy plans and ideas end up not working sometimes like the Finn/rose mission and the rebel attack at the base in the rust buckets.

idk if we have any reason to necessarily believe Kylo was telling the truth about that. He claims to have seen Rey's past and future, and she claimed to have seen his, but they were both wrong about the future at the end of the movie. They each stuck to their respective sides. That said, we don't have a great reason not to believe him, other than I just don't want to. Although I'd been thinking Rey had to be Luke's daughter until now...he made it pretty clear he has no idea who she is in that tree cave.

Rey is simply a naturally gifted Force-aware human, who happened to have two loser parents.  It would be like a child with Mozart-like ability, but being born into a backwoods family, with no chance of realizing her potential.  Just as Anakin and Luke were Naturals, so is Rey.  She's intelligent and a quick learner.  She was already adept at fighting and piloting on Jakku, but she was unaware of what the source of her skills truly was.

And like with any great athlete or artist, they're not all the same.  They don't all learn at the same rate.  Some naturally learn more quickly than others.

Anakin was a natural because he was the chosen one. He didn't have a father, and I get the feeling we're supposed to interpret that more like his mother just became pregnant with him via the mystery of the force more than he was an abandoned baby that showed up on her doorstep. Luke was somebody, he was the son of the chosen one. So as for Rey's heritage, it would not be Star Wars if she wasn't related to somebody very special, or she was someone very special through the force, some kind of new chosen one (I'm banking on Anakin Skywalker reincarnate).

I also wanna say......the only real thing that's up in the Air.......i do NOT think Kylo will be redeemed.

and that's how i want it honestly.just let the bad guy be bad please.

Mick

But he's so conflicted!

Although, I'd be okay with it going either way really. It would be a fun twist to the viewers relationship with Kylo to have him choose darkness and be destroyed in the end (it's star wars, of course darkness will be destroyed).
