If you haven't the time to listen to the new Foos album in its entirety, I suggest listening to Run, Dirty Water, or The Line for starters. Fantastic album.

I really enoyed the new Foos album. It only missed out on my top ten due to the abundance of riches I gained this year musically.

One of the worst years of my life, but at least the soundtrack was nice.

Guided By Voices- August By Cake
Chris Robinson Brotherhood- Barefoot in the Head
Laura Marling- Semper Femina

Ummmm...

Maybe I’m just having some short-term memory loss. But I think this year was pretty underwhelming.

For personal reasons I long for 2017 to be over. None of this music made 2017 a good year. It just helped me get through it.

YAY! Great list. And Eloy!

Songs From The Wood and Misplaced boxes are immense.

Also love the new ELP one, all the bells and whistles in there and the triple live in Italy lp set is super.

I HAVE YET TO HEAR THE KILLERS ALBUM I FORGOT ALL ABOUT IT! HUUUUUUUUGE FAAAAAAAAAAN!

And I have a strong connection to Reputation. Delicate is such am affecting song for me personally, with my new relationship.

The new Foos album should have been top ten but I could not overlook the Mastodon EP.

Other albums that I feel may grow on me now I am focusing on them at long last:

VUUR- In This Moment We Are Free (8/10)
Cellar Darling- This Is The Sound (8/10)
Pallbearer- Heartless (9/10)
Testament- Brotherhood Of The Snake (newish listen)

These albums really do feel like massive oversights. Seriously, Mastodon, As Lions, Soen...as great as the are I can see myself spinning these a lot more.

Great list. Though, I found Anathema's latest to be pretty disappointing aside from a few songs.
