Scarlett and Jen Lawrence are so overrated as hell.

This may be blasphemy to many, but Scarlett Johansson does nothing for me.  She's a decent actress, but I don't think she's all that attractive.  As she is voluptuous, film studios made her into a star.  Same goes for Jennifer Lawrence.
I agree on this...

...but I have to ask when are you going to go back and read the comics and see the real truth about the Avengers??

In regards to invisible’s earlier comment on Blunt, i agree that she would’ve been a better choice for Widow than Johansson. She kills it in Sicario for example! (Check it out if you haven’t yet!). Physically, she looks more like Widow than Scarlett too.

Johansson as Widow doesn’t bother me too much. She’s just kind of there looking juicy. But I don’t think she’s bad. Renner as Hawkeye and the writing of that character is worse.

Jennifer Lawrence, on the other hand, is overrated with looks that aren’t all that special to me. Her job as Mystique in the X-Men is as believable as if I had been cast as Wolverine.

Duck, the truth is that the MCU needs to consult us both before making any decisions! :blaze:
Aye!

I thought Rebecca Romijn was excellent as Mystique, so when the X-Men producers dumped her for Lawrence, I knew that they had sold out.  Everything was about marketing Jennifer Lawrence to fill more seats and generate more revenue.     :boo hiss:

Right. X3 was crap and it was a shame too since Romijn did particularly well in X2: United.

That second X-trilogy was all about Fassbender for me anyway.

Seriously, how many times will script writers steal the "Bridge On The River Kwai" line, What have I done?   They even did it in Thor: Ragnarok!

Thor Rag can bite me. I’ve seen it just once but the more I think about it, the dumber it gets.

The Thor trilogy is 1-2 with me, Iron Man’s is 2-1, and Cap’s at 3-0. Avengers is currently at 2-0 despite me having some issues with Age of Ultron.

Is she though?   I think she's a mediocre actress, at best...regardless of the role she plays it's always delivered very flat and w/ very little emotion.  She's attractive, sure, but on the whole she's just kinda 'meh'.

I feel the mostly the same about Jennifer Lawrence (though she was good in Silver Lining's Playbook).  But I think she has a broader acting range than SJ by a small margin.

When I say "decent", I'm saying that Johansson is OK, but nothing special.  She's good enough to earn passing grades.  Her emotionless delivery is a good match for Natasha/Black Widow, whose brutal upbringing and training destroyed most of her soul.  Lawrence kept me intrigued in the Hunger Games' films, but she's a dud as Mystique.

Yeah, I agree the flatness works for Natasha/Black Widow, but Johansson is like that for every character she plays...she just doesn't have a tremendous amount of range.

Not sure if this is a spoiler so I’m putting it as one just in case...

(It’s in regards to Infinity War and the follow up Avengers flick)

Yeah, it’s pretty weak.

The only thing I noticed that I hadn’t before was Rogers’ Wakandan shield(s)
