La Rushistance

I wrote a parody of "La Resistance" from the South Park movie (don't worry, I removed all the cursing) and made it about the RUSH cult fanbase. Here it is, so far. I hope you enjoy!

 

I do not own the song "La Resistance" or the SP movie.

 

Lyrics (so far):

God has smiled upon us this day

The fate of a rock band's in our hands

And blessed be the Rush fans' pride

We'll use our freewill to decide

That the Triumvirate shall stand

 

We'll hoist the Starman flag

As it wavers in the night

We'll fight in Rush's name

For what we see is right

And while members may retire, and tours cease to go on

Though the band ends, La Rushistance lives on!

 

We may get ire from folks

Who'll tell us to move on

They may spit on Geddy's voice

Or Neil's talent, or worse

But no matter what they say, we'll continue to carry on

Though the band ends, La Rushistance lives on!

 

(I have yet to do the other parts, except the final "La Rushistance" verse, which is:)

 

We'll do all that we can to keep their legacy alive

We'll sing to all their songs and wave our flag with pride

For Geddy, Alex, and Neil- let's keep them standing strong
