I thought of a quick response to this thread but it would've offended 80% of the forum.

That hasn't stopped anyone on here before!

But kudos on your restraint, whateverthehell kudos are.

Kudos (from the Ancient Greek: κῦδος) is acclaim or praise for exceptional achievement.

It's sad but I get them mixed up with Japanese number grids and that Simpsons' alien. :(

How do you feel about a map of the Tokyo metro/subway lines?

Take the Fukutoshin Line to Shibuya and get off at the first maid cafe you see.

No, I mean it -- get off.

Get off at the maid cafe, you say?

Sounds like a plan.

Despite the vileness of the egg...I would eat this bowl of ramen. Dunno what I'd do with the egg. Put it in Lorraine's grandfather's beer I guess!

Eggs are the most villainess, vilest evil perpetuated on breakfast, lunch, and dinner!

Is that dollars?

Garth was huge in the 90s and I think country still has a lot of fans willing to pay for music. I’m pretty sure I had a couple of his CDs back then. Huge crossover

He's a talented songwriter and an incredible performer that puts his heart and soul into what he does. That resonates. My wife just saw him on his recent tour and loved it.

I'm not a huge country fan, but it's not hard for me to recognize why Brooks rises above other artists in that genre in terms of popularity and sales.

Another good question is why does it bother anyone that some people like Garth Brooks? Yet another is how much better is Garth than a lot of pop out there right now?

Bae is the Dutch word for poop. I don't think youngsters who use the word in a affectionate manner know this.

It is english slang meaning Before Anything/Anyone Else.

Its just bantz (hehe)

Much better than a lot of it, most of it, even. He's up there with the top acts in music entertainment, like Beyonce, Katy Perry, TSwift, which is no small feat.

I think he’s popular because his music is pablum for the masses. For the same reason so many people like plain white potatoes and khaki paint on their houses. Bland to fit in.

Who eats plain white potatoes?

Apparently people who have khaki paint on their houses. I'm sure people who think Brooks is "pablum for the masses" only listen to real highbrow stuff like Liszt and Puccini.
