Some time ago I have made a matchup between Nirvana and one of their biggest influences - Pixies. Now it is Hüsker Dü, also one of Nirvana's music predecessors. My brother's schoolmate was told Hüsker Dü were good and bought Land Speed Record without hearing it. Played it for the first time with mother listening, I don't think she was impressed... The second one is fine, but it's not in Nirvana's class IMO.TBH, I enjoy both of them a lot. Nirvana has some of the greatest hooks ever, but they released an awful lot of crap. Huskers were great and adapted (and maybe mellowed) a bit and put out a greater quantity of good stuff (all IMO) but I have to go with Nirvana...
