no John Wayne, Bruce Willis, Kevin Costner, Rod Taylor...

 

otherwise great list. :notworthy: :clap:

I like Rod Taylor but to be honest his name never came up in the discussions. I forgot about him. His legend is mostly built around the Time Machine, The Birds and some great fight scenes with William Smith and Ernest Borgnine.

 

John Wayne I did think of but I know JB doesn't like him so I didn't try and force him into the poll.

 

Bruce is ok in small doses but he's not great, he's just Bruce.

 

Costner I don't rate at all.

Not a big fan of Costner myself but I think a lot of people would vote for him if he were on the list.

 

The others must be on that list as you're speaking of gods of the cinema...

I thought about starting a forgotten gods poll (as an addition to this one) but I'm to tired at the moment. I think it would take too much time and complaining is a lot easier. :D-13: I swear I don't

Are you saying you don't rate Arkin, Koto and Gielgud?

 

 

Why should we put actors in that we don't rate and you don't rate just because someone might vote for them? That's like making a poll about Sabbath, Led Zep, Rush and Deep Purple and saying hey why don't we put Green Day in there too because a lot of people might vote for them. It's illogical Captain!

No, I meant to say that I would've loved to see my three suggestions on the list because they're waaay more kind of cinema gods than Arkin, Kotto or Gielgud. Maybe I would have voted for Costner too because he was awesome in Dances With Wolves.

Anyway, it's your list and your rules but there are some really weird choices while a lot of obvious ones have been missed out.

I had to look up Herbert Lom, whoever's idea that was! :LOL:

He's a f***ing beast! He could play gangsters, Muslim warlords of the 12th century, crazed police commissioners, learned professors, evil witch finders, mad doctors locked up in their own asylums, despot Mexican generals, pirates from 100 BC, Captain Nemo, the Phantom of the Opera and Napoleon Bonaparte!
