:LOL: Spoiler- Captain Ron helps a family pilot a yacht and is a lousy babysitter. :LOL: Not the greatest movie, but it had its moments! Including with our neighbors! I think my sister gave it to me as a joke because I like Kurt. Our kids were in jr. high and knew not to take it seriously and we thought it was funny. So my husband gives it to his neighbor buddy in a horrible snowstorm and says "Here's a movie with sun in it!" Guy brings it back and says, "We don't usually watch that kind of stuff. Not much of a good example." It's a MOVIE! Lighten up!

Kurt turned out an incredible performance in The Thing .. It's up there in the Pantheon of ALL TIME performances ... Silkwood was great too ..

 

But on the other hand, there's been a lot of cheese .. significant cheese in fact

 

Gave him a B

That's the one I went for without any hesitation, although Escape From New York would be my second choice. And I gave him a B+.

He looks more like a M.A.S.H. up of Donald Sutherland and Alan Alda with a Kurt wig and beard in that pic.

I left it out on purpose! That movie was total garbage!

And I blame you for me watching it...I only saw it because you recommended it in Video Vertigo! :hail:

ESCAPE FROM L.A. IS THE WORST KURT RUSSELL MOVIE I'VE SEEN AND THAT'S INCLUDING SKY HIGH!!!!

 

I give Escape from L.A. a solid F! In fact, that movie inspired the thread I made a few months ago on worst sequels ever.

 

I spit and piss in the direction of John Carpenter whenever that movie title is mentioned!

I liked the movie. But yes, the movie wasn't great.
