    • I've never seen a Kurt Russell movie so now I fear that blueschica will hunt me down and gut me like a fish.
  2. 2. How would you grade Kurt as an actor?

    • A+ : One of the best of the best
    • A : a living legend
    • A- : he's way up there in the stratosphere of actors
    • B+ : a very good actor who's capable of any genre
    • B : a pretty reliable watch
    • B- : he's had some duds but he's slightly above average
    • C+ : not bad, there are many who are better though
    • C : centerfield, I'm pretty neutral when it comes to Kurt
    • C- : nothing special though not annoying either
      0
    • D+ : generally not good, I can skip his films
      0
    • D : not good, he bothers me at times
      0
    • D- : very bad, not THE worst but he's in that ballpark
      0
    • F : Awful! I don't care what blueschica thinks! He's crap!
      0
    • I still haven't seen a Kurt film and since blueschica already gutted me there's nothing left for me to do other than wallow in my own blood and Kurt Russell ignorance.

6 months ago Kurt Russell barely got beat and came in second place among this foursome:

Let's take a look at Kurt more closely as blueschica does every day.

Discuss. :hail:

What? No A plus plus. rating ?   This has got to be my favorite poll ever !! It's so difficult to pick just one movie ! I wimped out and picked Used Cars because I laugh my ass off every time I watch it, especially the R version on cable or something. It's really tied with Escape From New York though. (although I know Lucas is pulling for Escape from LA . . . ;) )

This is an amazing film...

It is an awesome movie. I do believe I own it as one of the Kurt Russell movies my husband thought would appeal to more than one member of the household (but actually Mr. blues likes Kurt pretty well too!)

Kurt turned out an incredible performance in The Thing .. It's up there in the Pantheon of ALL TIME performances ... Silkwood was great too ..

But on the other hand, there's been a lot of cheese .. significant cheese in fact

Gave him a B

I was going to edit it just now but then I'd have to shift every option down one because "A++" HAS TO be at the top. Damn!!! :blaze:

I had to look up Dreamer! I can't believe I missed a Kurt Russell movie, but I was taking classes that year so I guess I was busy. I'll have to try to see it on Netflix now with my dad. He LOVES any kind of horse movie. I'll be watching for KURT !!

Wasn't he in Son of Flubber?

If so, that one.

His early work appears to be sorely unappreciated by JB. Son of Flubber didn't have Kurt, but it did have Paul Lynde. Edited by goose

That's the one I went for without any hesitation, although Escape From New York would be my second choice. And I gave him a B+.

Only a B+ ?? You have some very exacting standards! But OK, he's still #1 with me.

ANYONE who doesn't have cleavage and isn't in a thong can never exceed a B+ grade in duck's grade book no matter how good they are!

I like him better than Jeff Bridges; I think he's a little bit better of an actor although they are pretty close. It is odd and some people would probably disagree with me but even though I like Kurt Russell so well I can still view him as different characters like the boyfriend in Silkwood or Herb Brooks in Miracle; where I usually just see Jeff Bridges as himself in a role, even a different one like in the Fabulous Baker Boys. (Pretty old movie.). But we just watched Hell or High Water recently and he was really excellent in that; I didn't see Jeff Bridges so much. So maybe they are tied. Good question.

Go watch Crazy Heart with Jeff Bridges. No way would you think he's the same as he is in Starman or Tron.
