Which song means more to you?

For me it's The Real Me and it's not even close! Anthem kicks ass, but The Real me is so fu**ing special tune.

Anthem is a consistent top 10 Rush song. No contest.

Anthem live gives it a run but The Who song is kind of iconic and I'm not really much of a fan. Sometimes you just gotta give it up...

Yesterday I watched a video of one of The Who songs taped in what appeared to be a recording studio and noticed two things:  1) that Pete, who rarely smiles, has a beautiful smile, and 2) that John was really a good looking man

Not much of a contest here as I never connected with The Who outside of respect for contributions to music .. Emotionally, they leave me flat, and The Real Me is a perfect example

Anthem, on the other hand, is great Rush, and for me, a perfect example of the students surpassing the teacher, big time

The Real Me for me. Of course if we're talking about the ATWAS version of Anthem it might be a different story.

I knew you'd appreciate that, lol.

But yeah ATWAS version of Anthem blows the studio cut out of the water. That beast was meant to be played live.

"Anthem" is also in my Rush top ten. "The Real Me" is (barely) in my Who top fifteen. This is very close, but I'll go with "The Real Me." The Who is the only band that I prefer to Rush.

There are some pretty great live versions of "The Real Me" out there, too. Especially from The Who's tour in 2000. Here's one: https://www.youtube....h?v=KYb32jHREtI
