Why Into The Wild? Penn wasn't in that. Interesting movie by him though.

There's quite a few on there I haven't seen but those performances would have to go a long way to beat his portrayal of Harvey Milk; quite good. He was also really excellent as Jeff Spicoli in Fast Times; I was young at the time and like so many people I assumed that person was similar to Sean Penn. He actually came up with his portrayal of the guy based on his surfing friends at the time.

A lot of good quotes in that movie especially from George C. Scott.

 

This one though is from the Colonel Kerby character (forgot the actor):

Poignant. Especially in today's social climate.

Into The Wild is fave on that list although he's the director. If we go acting then probably Milk. Best movie is probably Carlito's Way? Most underrated (and seemingly forgotten given who else is in the movie), as mentioned already: Taps.

Clancy's always good even when some of his flicks aren't.

Bad Boys is quality though.
