I figured it'd be nice to have all the news and therories in one thread for this massive release. I'm making it out to be an absolutley fantastic film. I'm stoked on finding out who Snoke is. Theories are out there of him being an ancient Sith from the Old Republic. I hear talk of his connections with the *POSSIBLE SPOILER*
Spoiler

In any case, I've never been more pumped for a Star Wars movie.

I think Force Awakens was good and Rogue One was really good. Both destroy the 1999-2005 prequels.

...but I'm still not that excited for this next one. I'll watch it though.

I'm in the same mindset as you...the new movies were really good but I'm not overly hyper for any new ones.  I think some of the problem is that I was pretty much ruined by the prequels and the stories in the new movies are ok, not great.

For god's sake, please someone write a star wars movie that doesn't revolve around some version of a death star.

Yeah, I can't say my thoughts are too different from what you're saying here.

8 Star Wars flicks so far and half of them have a Death Star as the plot device?!

I want to see the Old Republic stories as movies. (Revan/Malak/etc from KOTOR)

I would be shocked if you didn't see at least remnants of these stories at some point in film.  Disney is going to milk this baby for all it's worth.

This point really undermined Episode VII for me.

Yeah, I can see that.

Rogue One obviously had to deal with the Death Star but Jedi and Force Awakens too? I still liked them though despite the Death Star overload.

Awakens was well done I thought, but the planet killer (that's what you call it, really?) and the Han Solo bridge death scene were lazy plot devices, I thought.

I had a hard time watching VII because there were two annoying people in front of me.

Wouldn’t surprise me if it showed up before Blade Runner considering Han Solo.  Good way to get more people to see the movie.

Didn’t work for Wing Commander for Phantom Menace trailer though.

Have to mention it since it’s my obsession, anyone else notice Hamill with his facial hair looks like Kevin “Tom Servo” Murphy from MST3K?
