As in, something not all that far off a song like Xanadu or Natural Science.

No not really. The title track is only 7 minutes and it's basically a mishmash of them trying to be epic like they were in the 70's but failed. Their last epic was The Camera Eye

Does an epic song need to be longer than 7 minutes? Brucey didn't state it as such in his post.

In any case, I voted that there aren't any epics.

I count 3 excellent tracks, 2 good ones, 4 are ok, and 3 I don't care about or dislike.

I get why you might ask since there are a few lengthy tracks, but the obvious answer is no

I voted no and no.

The album has some good songs, but they aren't, in my opinion, epics.

Other than an unhealthy desire to consume doughnuts and pizza on a daily basis, nothing's wrong with me.

Easily, it's a Top Five 21st century Rush tune.

It's not Top 5 or Top 10 all-time. It's probably not even in my Top 20.

It's an excellent song but it's not an epic in terms of length or greatness.

Epics are epics because they are long.

I don't know. As you know, some peeps just use the word to describe something's greatness and ability to impress.

Doesn't that song have a standard song structure? Not multi-part like Nat Sci. And the debate whether The Camera Eye is an epic at all is one I like.

Nah, I think I'll stick around longer than any Washington sports team in the playoffs in the last 25 years.

Never gotten that impression with rush.  No one says CttH or limelight is epic but they say FoL, 2112, hemispheres, Xanadu, LVS, natural science are epics.  They have 2 things in common.  They kick ass and they're long.

The album itself is epic, but the reason the long tracks are long is not that they are particularly epic. More that they have a lot of awesome content.

CA and epic in the same sentence is an oxymoron.
