Well, Penn State had its first game today and beat Akron, 52-0.  You would hope they would win that one!  What happened with your schools?

Indiana vanquishes Virginia 34-17 despite being on the losing end of a 14 pt swing on a bullshit targeting call.   The game was in Charlottesville, and no Asian announcers were anywhere to be found.

I watched Reno lose its second of the season to an undersized but athletic Toledo team.  It would have been a total blowout if not for some very good goal line defense that held Toledo to field goals.

Silver lings:  Tailgate was awesome, and I got to catch up with some very close friends.  Needling my buddy that was working the replay booth (and reversing calls to hurt a Nevada home team) was fun.

Final score was 37-24

I guess it's better to needle him than to shoot him just to watch him die.

Nevada got tagged with a suspect targeting call as well.  One of the calls my buddy in the booth made.

He's a liberal.

Wasn't there a synchronized swimming match for him to attend?

Incidentally, the game took forever.  Both teams run a hurry-up pistol type offense, which means no time ticks off between plays...and lots of clock stoppage on ball carriers constantly running out of bounds.

And those time-consuming  replays...

NIU defeats Nebraska, 21-17 at Lincoln.    Nebraska will certainly be looking for a new coach after the season, if not sooner.

Dramatic end to Florida/Tennessee game.    Everybody was expecting it to go to overtime, but Florida connects on a 60+ yard Hail Mary to win the game as time expired in regulation.  26-20
