Driven kinda gets old for me...but then it's also undeniably one of the best cuts on the album, so I guess it's in my top three. Other favs include Time And Motion, The Color Of Right, Resist, and Limbo.

Virtuality has never been good. I can't remember how Carve Away The Stone goes. And Half The World is no better than Anagram. Everything else is between a C and a B-.

Yes, Dog Years rocks. :haz:

Actually Test For Echo is my favorite Rush albums and I love all the songs with the title track being my favorite track on the whole thing :)

Having just replaced TFE on CD,my other copy grew legs ages ago,I have been giving it a fair bash.It's the same as when it came out in that it was the first Rush album I felt I needed to hit the skip button. TFE maybe the start of the noise wars where everything is brickwalled along with the kitchen sink which is a shame because there are some really good songs here. I really like Limbo as an instrumental ,I can't think of any thing like it.

I love Limbo. Sounds better live than on the album.

Dogs: HTW & Virtuality...but more than half the album is stuff I don't care about. Still, I wouldn't outright call those "dogs"

Driven gets a 4...but I think that's because the sun is bright and the sky is blue today.

TFE is nowhere near as bad as Presto, Vapor Trails or CA.

Driven is a strong 4 or better.

Bottom line...mediocre Rush is still pretty damn good.

I enjoy this album a lot. Its more fun and varied than Clockwork Angels, lacks the dullness of Snakes And Arrows, is an easier listen than Vapor Trails, and is more memorable than the majority of Counterparts.

Its a 7/10 from me. The clumsy lyrics ruin it a little. But otherwise, I enjoy it immensely.

Test For Echo, Driven, Resist, Carve Away The Stone, Time And Motion...these are all really good songs!
