Last night I caught myself rooting for the Dallas Stars to beat Boston and the Stars had the game in hand and let it slip away. I guess that's why they have the record they (the Stars) do this season ;) . So back to my Sticks of Fire, Man-O-Man what a match Tuesday against the Leafs! I mean Toronto brought everything they had and the kitchen sink to the ice and had my bolts reeling with a 3-0 deficit until deep into the 2nd. Then the one spark goal by Victor Hedman and there was no looking back as My lightning skated away with a 4-3 victory. The back to back victory all but confirms my theory that rest is the mortal enemy of my Bolts. Then in another weird scenario Tampa's flight was grounded Wednesday night due to to the 4th Nor'easter in as many weeks settled in around the northeast corridor. My Lightning didn't make it to the Barclay ice with just 7 mere hours before puck drop against the "73" Islanders. Then proceeded to go on a 5-2 romp, but let NY scarily come back to make it a game but have enough "chutzpah" to hang on to a 7-6 road victory. This win has cemented my rest theory in place! After my game was over I watched the Leafs punish the Preds with a vengeance as they took out their frustrations of Tuesday's loss out on "Cashville" Tonight Tampa travels to the NJ Pine barrens to take on the Devils, If Tampa wins we will regain "League Leader" status once again! It was on NBC so got to hear Doc Emrick call the game! Pens continued their dominance over the Flyers this season, beating them again, and again with 5 goals as each of the previous games have had. :). Pens 5, Flyers 4 in OT. Final goal was amazing because Rust put his stick down in front of the net just in time to deflect Crosby's shot off the blade and into the goal. Now Pens are 2 pts. above the Flyers and Blue Jackets and only 3 behind the Caps as the playoffs approach. Go Pens!
