Crimsonmistymemory Posted February 26, 2018 Share Posted February 26, 2018 (edited) Once again a bit of a delay in y'alls most anticipated Lightning updates So Thursday proved once again if the Bolts can get out in front early they increase their chances of skating off with the W. My bolts were up 4-1 by the literal end of the second and played hang on for the whole 3rd period letting the Spentators get within 1 as the last desperation shot by Ottawa went "ping" off the post and away at 0:00. Saturday against the "Habs" proved what I have been saying since we past the 1/2 way point that every team the Lightning face are going to bring their best game against the (yeah we're there again) league leaders. They lowly Habs (30+ points behind us) really played with old style "goon squad" tactics even enticing our Captain Stamkos to retaliate by dropping the gloves against Carl Alzner for a cheap shot to the knee of Kucherov. What a leader and Even though he served a 10 minute major it provided a needed spark!!! Victor Herman also dropped the gloves on Brendan Gallagher (in the same 1st period) also in retaliation to an earlier blatent stick in Hedmans face and then Ghallgher tried to come back for more. Anyhoo my Bolts narrowly got out of Montreal (who by the way sdored 1st) with the W after a shoot out 4-3 win.
