Love that minor-key descending guitar/bass line over the drums.

And love the musical tension of the riff being played in straight time while the drums are swinging.

The guitar solo in this one is really cool, and builds nicely. You can see how Lifeson really took care to shape his solos, even as a youngster.

Better than Barchetta. Well, longer. ;)

I forgot what this sounded like so I played it on youtube.

After 2 or 3 minutes I was bored as f**k and didn't finish the rest.

Sounds like they were high when they wrote it.

Used to be my favorite on that album forever, but I think I might like Before and After more now. (Wish that was played live)

I think I kind of burned myself out of Here Again as it was always the first song on all the Rush live compilations I've made.

I really like it, but "love" is saved for Finding My Way, What You're Doing, In The Mood, Before And After and Working Man

Still, Here Again is a great song, just a notch down from some of the others - like 9 vs a 10

It's weird that many TRFers don't consider this album a Rush album.

Good song on a fun, enjoyable album.

Despite the big Rush logo on the cover?

"Oh, that's not a Rush album."

"But it says right on it: 'Rush', in big pink letters."

"But it doesn't have the drummer on it."

"Yes it does. His name is John Rutsey. He does a good job."

"No, I mean the real drummer."

"But..."

"NO! This is not a real Rush album. I have spoken!"

The real deal goes something like this...

"It's not Rush if it doesn't have Peart."

"Well, what about the first album with Rutsey?"

"They were just a copycat Led Zeppelin band."

"So they weren't Rush?"

"No. Not really. They were proto-Rush."

"But they were called RUSH. And Lee & Lifeson asked Peart to join RUSH. And Neil did JOIN RUSH. He was the NEW member of RUSH."

"But it really wasn't Rush before him even though they called the band that. Even though they were known as Rush. See what I'm saying?"

"No."

The End.

Dumb arguments. Yes fans get into the same bs arguments with their singers. Bands change line ups. It happens. I hear a lot of well it's not the real version of the band if so and so isn't on it.

Incredible song, full of raw emotion and moodiness, with a killer guitar solo and top notch vocal performance.

Don't you mean "In The Mood"iness?

No.

That's not what he means at all.

And stop that...we're not middle schoolers or Kevin Anderson. We can form sentences without using song titles. :poke:

Yup, dumb arguments. Yet these things ("no Peart = not Rush", etc) have been said many times over on TRF

Here, Mr. Douche and Rutsey's replacement celebrate releasing a shitty book by getting drunk on Geoff Tate's "Insania" wine ("the douchiest of our vintages")

"This wine is almost as full-bodied as my prose, but with a similar bouquet."
