Believe it or not, many house fires out here start for that reason - no one cleans the lint traps in their dryers.

But it brings up another thing that I wonder about.

 

Why don't people brush their teeth better?

 

The lazy answer is that they're lazy and/or dirty people.

 

The truth is simply this:

lack of proper training & education regarding dental hygiene.

 

I know a woman in her 60s who's neither lazy nor dirty/unkept looking who thought I was joking when I said I brush my tongue. She said she had just never heard of anyone doing that. She also was surprised when I said I floss too. (Wacky me, tongue brushing and flossing besides the standard brushing). :P

 

After realizing she never brushes her tongue or flosses, the intensity of her halitosis became even more apparent. ;)

Why do some people drive so irresponsibly? I saw three vehicles go through red lights this morning. And the light was already red when they approached it, and they went through it anyway. That's very dangerous. We have so many accidents out here - bad ones - a lot of rollovers - and that is primarily the cause - someone running a red light.

 

Bad drivers is an absolute pet peeve of mine. And not just cause I am older now. I have always tried to drive defensively and while I might drive a little over the speed limits, it isn't by much, but usually if it is 70 MPH, I sit on 70. I stay in the right lane unless passing. But it seems in the past few years drivers are HORRIBLE. I blame phones. I know most of them are people on their phones. And they drive about 90 on the interstates. I mean, really? No turn signals, merging incorrectly, ugh! Driving to and from work every day is probably the most stressful part of my day. No, it IS the most stressful. And rubber neckers ... especially the ones who slow down to stare at wrecks on the opposite side of the interstate! Really?? GOOOOOO.... these wrecks happen EVERY DAY. Move along...

..which is something I'll never understand because a plugged lint trap prevents air flow and the clothes dont dry. These people are probaly spending an extra 45 minutes drying their clothes to save 20 seconds.. Maybe they need to die in a house fire

It's because everyone is looking down at their phones all the time now. Can't even keep their eyes up long enough to make a routine trip in the car anymore. You're sitting around doing nothing then fine bury your face in it all you want. But behind the wheel is not the time to check and see if someone liked your post on facebook.

That's why I always make sure the lint trap is clean before I dry stuff....I already have to run clothes TWICE to get them completely dry....

Extremely slow people in traffic. If you know where you're going, then go! Often I see drivers coming in and out of parking lots, or from intersections, and they creep forward in a snail's pace almost stalling the engine. Come on, you can't be that timid and be allowed to drive.

YES THIS! my mom used to call me selfish for being suicidal but she has changed her view completely over the years. i've had to explain to her so many times that it's not about not being able to appreciate things in life.
