NC-17 Thread! Review And Discuss At Own Risk! Don't Shoot The Messenger! This Movie Is A Game Changer. Salo? Videodrome? Human Centipede? Worse......

I was going to thread about this movie I saw last night on blu-ray in letterbox format but I decided to sleep on it.

Now I've seen thousands of films in my lifetime. I am always up for a late night explicit film challenge. Caligula blew my mind way back when. The "million dollar" Penthouse Roman Empire Porno shocker with a brilliant cast.

I've been in love with "A Clockwork Orange" for decades.

I saw "Salo" very interest.

I am a big fan of "Salon Kitty." Tinto Brass is a Legend to me. Heck he directed "Caligula."

I've seen the "Human Centipede" Trilogy. Not that impressed.

So you are waiting for my point?

I decided to be discreet and tone it down since I have been a non-filtered R rated poster in the past.

So I didn't even put the name of this extreme vulgar film in the header of this thread.

I am sure some forum members on her will peak because of curiosity but I am writing a disclaimer on this thread.

I am not advocating anything or backing this picture in anyway. It was the most twisted, sick and disturbing film I have ever seen in my life.

However, I give credit for the creators to have the balls to take cinema to the next level.

Even if it is deplorable and should be banned. Probably was in the USA.

So enough.

The film is called "A Serbian Film."

That is the title of the film.

The movie has changed my life.

Pure insanity.

I don't see any film ever topping this one as far as limits can be pressed.

Let's say you?

If you dare type about this movie..............

I'm not saying another word.......

View at own risk.

Otherwise ignore this thread please.....

I've seen it. I had read about it after it was mentioned in a TRF horror thread. Fast forwarded through most of it, because I had read a full synopsis of the plot. I find the intended statement made by the film much more interesting than the film itself.

Ok cool Goose! I had no idea that this film was mentioned before on here. Cool.

I think the movie is sick and twisted but I admire the balls the creators had to push the envelope of what an audience can tolerate.

Pure insanity. Smashing and destroying barriers. The film is brilliant. However most probably hope it falls into a black hole.

No pun......

Intended........

I saw Murder-Set-Pieces in the theater because, at the time, it was hyped as the goriest, most disturbing, etc etc

It was pure shit - laughable even

I'm not sure A Serbian Movie would be much different, but I will give it a try if I get a chance ....

Eurotrash horror usually comes across as comical

I'd only ever seen bits of both Human Centipede and A Serbian Film, and I was left feeling sick.

Baby! I'm sorry to regurgitate the past! I thought the Human Centipede was nothing special. Kind of lame.

"A Serbian Film" was off the hook.

If you couldn't get through the trailer my dear, please do not watch the film.

I know Lucas I get it. I've been a film addict like a RUSH addict for decades. I studied film in college while acquiring my English degree.

So I get it.

No matter how real it may seem it's pure fiction. Or is it? Snuff Films? David Cronenberg shaped my young mind. A genius in the horror "flesh" films.

"A Serbian Film" is so over the top I can see where it can become comical in a most unconventional way.

So far fetched and out of the mind of sanity.

I don't know Lucas.

I would be scared watching this movie if I were you.

Leave a light on.

Ok, I read the entire plot synopsis. Sounds like nothing of value in it.

Banned by nearly a dozen countries and now BlazeNation too.

I'd rather watch the extremely dumb Hostel ten times in a row than watch this flick.

Sorry Earl, but it doesn't sound like this film's pushing any boundaries besides the boundaries of its own lameness.

I agree. Don't waste your time.

Shocking to many. Lame to many.

It's so over the top I can see where some call it comical.

Breaking boundaries is a cliche.

Stay pure. Stay away.

Japan has it on blu-ray.

Ironic Blaze Nation!

The movie is fukking insane.

I just read the 'critical reception' section. The point that posts here mirror responses there IS interesting.

However, I guess it shouldn't be too surprising since we're all critics after all.

I really don't care for the general trend in films to be more graphic, whether it is gore in horror, violence in war/cop/action, or sexuality ("non-simulated sex" is a real term?) in relationship films. It strikes me as cheap and lazy more than edgy...a device to distract from a weak story, a bad script, or mediocre acting.
