Principled Man
Furst passed away due to complications of diabetes. Achieved film immortality via his portrayal of Kent "Flounder" Dorfman.

JohnnyBlaze
That's too bad. He wasn't even really that old. Besides his classic role as Flounder, I also enjoyed the nonsense movies he was in like Midnight Madness, Silent Rage, and Up The Creek. invisible airwave
As a Rifftrax fan, I have to mention Silent Rage where he was Chuck Norris' cop partner. Hilarious hot mess of a movie that can't decide whether it wants to be horror or action. It just got riffed a couple of years ago. Lucas
RIP Stephen About a year and a half ago he wrote a good letter to Variety Sad to see anyone lose their battle, as he was a fighter, both for himself with his health and in the industry http://variety.com/2016/film/awards/stephen-furst-animal-house-academy-rule-changes-1201689253/ Edited June 19, 2017 by Lucas

Jack Aubrey
He was also brilliant as Vir Cotto on the legendary sci-fi series Babylon 5 (my favorite). I follow Bruce Boxleitner on Facebook and since several of the B5 cast have passed away, he wrote about how it gets harder every time to announce when one of them passes. He also wrote that Mr. Furst was a huge part of the soul of B5 and how he loved him for always keeping them laughing on-set.
