He's not going to belt out any ballads, but that's not the point. AC/DC doesn't need good vocalists, it needs great AC/DC singers. Brian Johnson was a great AC/DC singer. He adds attitude, character and power to so many great songs.

We need some physics majors to weigh in on this.

No, no, no. See, Brian Johnson fans, of which I am one, are not likely to suggest to others that, regardless of whether they like his music, they must, at a minimum, accept that he is,a good singer. Mathematically speaking of course.

He never impressed me live and I've seen the band a handful of times. Geddy was much better at what he does. I suppose they are both an acquired taste.

He's not a good singer technically

I beg to differ mate.

I have a friend who sings in an AC/DC tribute band called Dirty Deeds here in Australia.

I asked him which singer is harder to cover. His response - Brian Johnson is bloody HARD to sing.

Try singing "Shoot to Thrill". Your technique must be very good - or else your voice is gone before the song is finished.

Useless info: Brian Johnson sang Nutbush limits to get the AC/DC gig...

Yup, he he is bad. :blaze: I like this clip of Donald Duck doing Thunderstruck. Sounds just like him.

Always funny to see RUSH fans criticizing a vocalist

Pot, meet kettle.

First thing said by many a casual Rush listener "I like the music, but I'm not keen on the woman singing" :P
