cygnify
Well, I've subscribed to MD for 33 years, so I know a few drummers! lol. My top ten (inevitably leaves out dozens of favorites....) Neil PeartJohn BonhamBill BrufordBilly CobhamTerry Bozzio (the cute little drummer)Simon PhillipsRod MorgensteinGavin HarrisonMarco MinnemannJerry Gaskill (King's X)( always loved his syncopated grooves and energy!) Of these, I have seen 9 in concert (all but Bonzo), and have met 6 of them. Not my personal favorite, but I did also see the greatest drummer in concert once - Buddy Rich! RUSHHEAD666
9. Jeff Porcaro My 11 His drumming on "Silk Degrees" is one of the best pocket groove records in the world. His TOTO stuff is magic, It makes sense why Steven went after Simon to take over.
