  2. 2. What grade would you give Pulp Fiction?

In the same vein as the Reservoir Dogs thread, which of these Pulp Fiction actors do you think is the best?

Again, I'm not specifically basing the poll ONLY on Pulp Fiction.

Who is your favorite? What other movies was he/she good in?

Oh...

- I didn't include any of the Reservoir Dogs actors that were also in Pulp because they've got their own thread.

- I also didn't include Christopher Walken because there'd be a good chance that he'd run away with this. Besides, he only has a single scene in the movie.

- I also left out some of the colorful side characters because I can't imagine anyone voting for the Esmeralda Villalobos or Fabienne actresses for example.

Vote.

Discuss.

I give Pulp Fiction an A...I haven't seen it in ages, but I saw it quite a few times back when.

And the best actor of the lot is Samuel L. Jackson. See A Time to Kill.

Have to go with Sam Jackson too.

Other stuff I liked him in: A Time to Kill, Jackie Brown, Unbreakable, all the Marvel Cinematic Universe films, The Incredibles, and probably a few others I'm forgetting.

Pulp Fiction gets an A+ from me. I must've seen it at least 20 times.

In looking over the filmographies of these actors, it's like I've stepped into some portal and transported to a Blockbuster video store circa 1995 thinking what I usually thought:

"Look at these shit movies"

Pulp Fiction would get a C

Best actor from the group would be Ving Rhames, mainly because he was in Jacob's Ladder which was pretty good

Sam does steal the show, which is no small feat considering how great Travolta and Willis are in their roles. Not to mention the many minor roles that are brilliantly done as well.

This is an A+ film if there ever was one.

If I had given the option, Lucas would've voted for Marvin with the head blown off. Well, either him or the gimp. :P

I only saw Pulp Fiction once a long time ago, but wasn't Elizabeth Pena in it ?? .. She isn't listed in the cast but I could have sworn that she had a role in it

And I'm sort of in shock because I didn't know she had died .. she was hot stuff

I've seen it a million times and don't remember her in it. It's not listed in her film credits either.

Here she is in The Incredibles though as Mirage:

The only person I can come up with who you might confusing Elizabeth Pena with is Maria de Madeiros who played Bruce Willis' gf.

Elizabeth:

...unless Elizabeth was one of the diners hiding under the table in the restaurant Jackson & Travolta were holding up. She was awesome! :P

The only answer is Jackson. This is the film that made Samuel L. Jackson Samuel L. Jackson. Almost every badass or loudmouth role he did after this can be attributed to it.

He's one of the best f bomb dropping actors ever.

I love his version of that "Go To Sleep" bed time story.

The best thing of all about Jackson in Pulp Fiction is he says he's going to walk to Earth like Caine in Kung Fu!

Here was the second film I saw Sam in, about a half decade before Pulp. He was already 100% Sam:

And a year before that he was in the sketch that preceded Eddie Murphy's Raw:

Really? I never saw that but he was in a lot of roles (albeit most of them small) before that: the two I already mentioned, Goodfellas, Do The Right Thing, True Romance, Jungle Fever, etc.
