U gotta pay attention before making a thread. I already made this month's ago. This just clutters up trf.

 

Who gives a rat ass? I make how many threads I want. And you should not talk about making lots of new threads, you have made so many stupid threads that no one gives a shit about. So either you stop complain on my threads and follow the topic or you can go write somewhere else.

I know people dont have to, thats why I said the word PLEASE! And there really is no need for you to care about it. I think Babycat can talk for her self. And I would not get angry if she said no, since she is one of the nicest ones on this forum

Voted for My Favourite Headache and Runaway train.

I absolutely love My Favourite Headache and rank it above many Rush albums.

Picking the best song was hard to choose, but I went with Runaway train.

 

I never listen to Victor. An amazing guitar composer Alex most surely is, but the songs on that album are :scared:

I really shouldn't have voted. I only have listened to three Victor songs once. Geddy's album I have been exposed to much more. Still I have made a choice.

BUT, I want Alex to make the next album. I think he got some experimentation out of his system with Victor and the next one would be even better

Can't find my copy of Victor anywhere.

 

Also can't find Salival by Tool, which is a real bummer cuz the DVD cd version is like $100 on the Nile. Will need to borrow a listen from Mr You Tube

My Favorite Headache is a great album, while Victor has a mix of experiments that were bold but miss as often or more than they hit.

 

Runaway Train was my choice as best track, but the lead vote getters of My Favourite Headache and Grace to Grace were contenders for that title.

 

I picked Geddy for the next album.

Although Alex if he reigns in his meandering paths could certainly put out a great album.

 

Neil doesn't want to, but if he wanted to, I have absolutely no idea what to expect. It's hard to envision him not hating the idea. Assuming he wanted to do it, I'd sign up.

 

But I know what Geddy can do for a fact, and I loved his solo album more than a few Rush albums. Victor is behind every Rush album.

Geddy's vocals > Edwin's vocals + Dalbello's vocals + Alex's spoken voice

 

I think it mainly comes down to that.

 

Alex does have some cool guitar MOMENTS on Victor but they don't feel like very good SONGS overall.

 

I find Alex's songs more interesting, but they don't work as well as songs, and the vocals are a big reason (but definitely not the only reason).

 

I'd like to see Alex have another go at it and see if he'd just mess around again or try to craft something more sculpted.
