EagleMoon
Plus they've had a lot more time to BE generous.
Fordgalaxy
That would be pretty hard to quantify without a study of all the bands and their charitable giving or philanthropic efforts. But it's great to see them getting some coverage for what they do and have done.

goose
"They're giving us an award for doing what everyone should do," Geddy Lee tells Billboard. "It should be a part of everyone's upbringing and routine of life: You share when you've been blessed with good fortune. The world needs a lot of work, and there are not enough workers. We try to help where we can."Â :ebert:

J2112YYZ
Excellent article. I definitely agree about using your good fortune to help out where you can. I didn't know about them donating $1 from each concert ticket sold to various charities over their last few tours That's pretty cool as well. They do it the proper way too. Very quiet and humble and don't expect anything in return. :rush:
Xanadoood
The fact they chipped in after Hurricane Katrina says it all. A Canadian prog band helping in the rebuilding of the lower ninth ward. Can't get more worlds apart than that. These guys are stand up dudes. Fordgalaxy
I wonder if NEP ever contributed to an overeaters programme?
LeaveMyThingAlone
They are amazing. It's truly miraculous to have this band form with so much talent and musical chops but also be total class acts and just good people.. That's such a great article and makes me appreciate the boys even more
thirteen
Not the most generous band. Madonna offered to give everyone who voted for Hilary a BJ...
