Boston Debut 100%, one of the best albums ever released, just flawless from start to finish

Rocks, Agents of Fortune, and Sad Wings of Destiny are all better than 2112.

If I compared 2112 to ever song on all these albums listed, 2112 would win.

 

But going by the album 2112 compared to the rest, it is in the middle for my favorite, a lot of great albums in 1976

Difficult choice...so many good albums.

 

2112, Agents of Fortune, Rising, Sad Wings of Destiny, A Day at the Races, Leftoverture, Jailbreak, Dirty Deeds, A Trick of the Tail, Boston.

 

I voted for Agents of Fortune, but I could have easily gone with any of those.

1976 was strong. 2112 wins but not by a lot.

Boston, Kansas, Rush, Queen and The Eagles all had great albums that year. But If I go with popularity and all time appealability the vote has to go to Boston. The others are right behind it though. This poll should've been a scale rather than a general pick, they're just that close.

Too easy for me

 

The summer of 76 I had a night shift job loading trucks for a summer break job. I would play ROCKS on volume 10 while driving home at 8am. It would keep me awake.

I wouldn't rate Agents but I almost said Rocks over Trick. But I couldnt.

 

Trick of the Tail proved to the world Geneis was more than just Peters backing band.

What a cracking year for music!

 

For me, very tight at the top with Rocks, Boston and 2112 all putting in a great claim, but I have to narrowly go for Rocks.

 

There are a few other stellar albums in the list though.

2112 is definitely my favorite 1976 record. But Leftoverture is one of the best produced and best sounding records ever made. It is also one of the best records musically. Front to back.

Agree that these albums are great. Some album called "All the World's a Stage" was released in 1976. It's not bad either.
