I would guess around the time of the Vapor Trails release. The picture on the wall is the tarot card The Fool and those cards were used as a visual theme on the album. So I would say it's from 2002.

Impossible for me to choose a favorite song, and I think that the era produced three pretty solid albums.  All would benefit from trimming, not just for cutting weaker tracks, but also for eliminating the fatigue of too much of a good thing.  In the end, the three albums are so disparate that it really comes down to what I'm in the mood for. I'll say that Snakes and Arrows is the least work as a listener.

Yeah, now that you say it. I've never noticed, but you're probably right about that. He was an ascetic at the time and mentally he was broken. Astonishing how he fought himself back into life.

Headlong Flight. I like the majority of what they did but still cant hold a candle to 74-87.

The 90's not so
much.
