One of the few books that I started and just couldn't get through.

I tried but I just couldn't.

I also thought the mini series they made back in the 90's was silly.

The new movie looks like Stranger Things meets Goosebumps.

I'm all shades of excited.

It looks ridiculous and that's all that matters!

I remember the original movie with Tim Curry.
I still refuse to walk too close to road side storm water drains...

Endings are really important to me, and the book had one of the most ridiculous endings ever - killed the entire thing for me

Hopefully the movie somehow improves on that, although I am not holding my breath

It's one of those books that I'd read time and time again. The 1990 movie (set out on a two-sided dvd) was okay, loved Tim Curry. Seen the trailer for this one - seems interesting, though this version of Pennywise might just unnerve the pants off me.

Tim Curry does audiobooks and apparently he's an awesome narrator.

The Stand was almost ruined by that ridiculous Deus Ex Machina ending

Yes!  Also add in a touch of "The Goonies" that one kid has an Asthma inhaler.
