Still, the only movie character that gives me the creeps when I am alone at night

friday-the-13th-betsy-palmer-mrs-voorhees-original.jpg

What movie is that from?

Major Spoiler:

Friday 13th

Ah ok. I have not seen that movie.

Zumbi, it's the original from 1980 ... I saw it the first night it opened in the theater, and it scared that crap outta me - made moreso by the fact that it was really low budget and filmed about 15 minutes from where I lived here in NJ

Then perhaps I have to see it! I like scary movies. And I like old movies (one of my favorite movies is Psycho).

Speaking of Psycho... here is another villain that I like:

That is REALLY ironic that you post that pic

When I met Betsy Palmer, I told her that Mrs Voorhees and Norman Bates are my two top horror villains - all time ... Then I said that while Psycho is a classic, she scared me more

If you like Psycho as much as I do. You should see the serie called Bates Motel. Its a serie on 5 seasons. Its about Norman and his mother, before she dies. Really good one! I saw all seasons in like a weekend, not to long ago. I could not stop watching it because it was so good!

Bates Motel is a great show. The final season is currently airing right now. Hard to consider him a villain though. I always saw him as more mentally ill than villainous. The TV show displays that in a masterful way.

THIS is pure villainy. Hiding behind the false smiles and friendliness lies pure EVIL. Lies, deception, manipulations,.....all used masterfully to confuse and convert others.

Little need to do his own dirty work; he manipulates others to do it for him.

Vader was always too cool to be the ultimate evil in Star Wars.

To me, it's Palpatine who's the real evil:

I agree!! To me it would be:

(1) Palpatine from Star Wars

(2) Darth Vader

(3) Scorpius (the half Sabachaen / Scarren from Farscape)

I am not including the possessed girl from The Exercist in my rankings but if I did she (given what was possessing her) would jump to #1.

I will give honerable mention to Saurman from The Lord of The Rings & The Nazgul also from those books / movie.

Nurse Ratchet

Nurse_Ratched.jpg

Nurse Ratched was named the fifth-greatest villain in film history (and second-greatest villainess, behind only the Wicked Witch of The West) by the American Film Institute.

Even Louise Fletcher, the Oscar winning actress who portrayed Ratched, couldn't stand to watch the film, as she was so disgusted by the character.

For me it's Heath Ledger's Joker. His monologues are not only well delivered, they also have quite a bit of truth to them.

"Don't talk like one of them. You're not. Even if you'd like to be. . . "

"You know what I've noticed?"

Simply brilliant.

A lot of good ones have been mentioned already.

Here's another...

http://thepolife.files.wordpress.com/2012/09/warden-norton.jpeg

That scene in which he's telling Dufresne (who's already in solitary confinement) that he'll "cast him down with the sodomites" and that he'll "think he's been f***** by a freight train" is far scarier and evil than Darth Vader ever was.

There was a time I would have said Darth Vader.

Then Vader became a pussy.

Then Vader redeemed himself to be the ultimate villain.
