I got these married friends. He is fat, she is yuuuuuge. For over two years on Fakebook they're peddling this stuff yet they have appeared to lose zero pounds. It's become a joke. If you're going to peddle weight loss products at least appear to be trying. I swear they're fatter now.

Want to blast some fat in 90 days for less than $50 per month?! ThermoFit & FatFighters are the tummy trimming team!! ThermoFit revs up your metabolism, gives you energy, and curbs cravings! FatFighters block some fats & carbs when you give in and have a cheat meal!!

The next 5 people to message me will get a spot!! Hey go fast so don't wait!! Message me NOW!

Just stop!

I know several English teacher colleagues that are absolute useless zombies with no people skills on top of that. A few can't even really speak English. A fat couple peddling fat reduction products is in the same ballpark.

Agreed!

Agreed!

Fat shaming has to stop!

And the label "fat" has to stop too.

I'm done is listening and using this word myself.

There's no 'plus size'.

Just someone's natural size.

Obesity is when one is beyond their "natural size". Maintaining a healthy weight should be applauded.

So all descriptive words need to stop? Skinny, thin, obese, anorexic, etc.

No.

Only negative criticism and offensive context behind words.

Otherwise we may use them. That's why words exist.

That's why I love writing. :)

But that's my point. Any of those words can be used in a derogatory manner.

That's why I'm for speaking kinder, sweeter and I prefer not to use words in a derogatory way.

My point is similar to your point, so.

Verena, what is ironic is that a lot of the people who consider themselves "thick skinned" and tough are the very same ones who whine or leave the forum when they are presented with a different opinion or are taken to task ..

Point being: just be yourself - thoughtful and kind - and don't worry about how others will take it
