Hart Foundation and British Bulldogs would both be 80's.

80's for me. Subdivisions.

We need a 90's tag. My favorite...Harlem Heat!

70's all the way

The Trees

All four of these get an A+/5 stars so it'll be a tough choice for me.

Just me but The Trees is by far the best. It is the best song, the best playing and the best structure. It has many time signatures but all flow effortlessly. The mid section is in 5/4 but it flows so well. On a personal level I think it is the greatest guitar sound ever created, not only by Alex but I include my other hero EVH in that statement. It is perfect, lovely classical intro and wonderful powerful and lyrical bassline and vocal by Geddy. I believe this was still the Ricky 4001/ Ampeg combination at that time but it is just so lovely and smooth and rounded. I think TB mixed Geddy's sound really well on this track. Alex perhaps the 355 with the use of Stereo with a Hiwatt either side miked up directly and perhaps an ambient mike. He was using the wonderful Roland Space Echo and MXR EQ and Flanging.

This track in the studio is just musical perfection to me. I don't really comment on the lyric, I think the words are a wonderful sentiment, others slag it off as childish and naïve, the lyric is not really important to me as opposed to the wonderful diverse music. It captures the best of Rush in my humble opinion.

I ask any guitar player just to listen to that A suspended 2nd chord that Alex lets ring out at the end, it's perfection.

I know they're both 80s teams but I couldn't think of any 70s teams. They're merely "classic" teams.

As for 90s teams, I already stopped watching wrestling by then. Besides, I'm not a big fan of Bones and Echo albums.

I could easily vote for some kind of Dreamline, Animate, Driven, Bravado, Cold Fire, Double Agent kind of pairing...maybe that's just me.

I like all of those except for Cold Fire which is just "okay". That's the thing though, I can't put any of those two against Road Warriors like Bastille Day and Bangkok. The 90s tag team would get mauled!

((Edited to add: I know The Road Warriors were from the 80s too))

70's and AFTK.

Is the middle guy Devo??

I came here to talk about my love for Farewell to Kings and my indifference to the Trees.

And then I found this.

Well done gents!

Carry on.

:smoke:

Meanwhile, voteless Tommy is floating down the river with half of Harlem Heat!

No I wasn't trying to be a c***, I liked Devo, they were a bit different and left field. They wore funny hats and were very innovative honestly!!!!!
