Which Rockman model in GUP

I love Rockman stuff, maybe I can help.

GUP was released in '84. I assume this means it was recorded mostly in '83. If that is the case, then it would be either an original Rockman, or the ultralight. The only difference being that the ultralight doesn't have the reverb effect.

It's a shame that there's no VST version of that sound. I'd love to pump a keyboard or a sequencer through it.

 

Supposedly people can get pretty close using Amplitube.

I have to agree with one of those replies - I can get a really good tone, that IMO is *better* than the rockman (although similar in grit and sustain) just tinkering with what's available in Amplitube (for free, no VST plugins/addons from their store needed).

 

Love that guitar tone on the first Boston album.
