Easy one

Just a bit tough to decide which I like better - Passage or Bastille Day

Passage To Bangkok for the win

Yeah, I'm going with the 70s team but it's not that easy for me. Really tough to choose the best of the 4. Barely Bangkok for me.

I think it might be closer with the voting though.

I specifically didn't want anything from Hemispheres-Moving Pictures as those would be heavy favorites.

It was an easy for me, personally - the 4 choices are great .. It's just that Passage is like a Top 5 and Bastille Day a Top 10 for me ..

I like the pairings

Yes, great pairings! I'm kind of medium on Analog Kid, so Bastille Day/Bangkok was easily my top pair. Favorite song was a lot harder, since I really like all of the other three. The hard edge of Bastille Day beat out Distant Early Warning by just a hair , though.

Interesting matchup. I'm generally more of a 70s lover, but Bastille Day has just never really clicked with me for some reason. Bangkok is great, but as a pair, the 80s team wins and AK is my overall favorite tune.

I listened to all 4 songs three times each after I voted and....I'm changing my vote to Bastille Day! It WAS my first thought but then I second guessed myself. Still going with the 70s pair though.

I'm a little surprised DEW is currently winning though.

The whole idea of a tag-team song match-up makes me say to myself- ummm, wait, now, what? :eh:

However...I think I get it.

The answer is Bastille Day! And its partner.

Here, I'll make sure you get it... :)

I wanted:

- a different angle to vote on songs other than the usual one-to-one matchups

- two songs that were made close together in time and pit them against another pair from another era...but not TOO distant an era

- songs NOT in the supreme domain of Hemispheres to Moving Pictures but still immensely popular like the four I chose here.

- to have the tag team bit for a little playfulness. Also, there's the "hidden" Rush reference in that one of those wrestlers in the pic used to snarl "Oooooh what a rush!" after many interviews (((which had nothing to do with Rush)))

I like the idea of two songs when Rush was JUST catching on vs. two others JUST AFTER when Rush REALLY became mainstream

Analog is my favorite among the songs.

Voted 70s, though, for a minute. I like both better than Warning.

But I switched to 80s. Very close.

I put the songs-

Analog Kid

Bastille Day

A Passage to Bangkok

Distant Early Warning.

But I like them all.

I like this idea a lot.

Good to hear it!

I've got a few more ideas. This was basically a test run.
