For me a live ESL version is much better than the original, Hemispheres version.

What about the "vault version" and the one on R30?

I'd have to revist the DS version again, but the ESL Trees gets my vote.

It would have to be a tie between the studio version and ESL.

Oh the Hemispheres studio version is the one in my humble opinion.

The greatest guitar sounds ever ever created and I include Eddie Van Halen's best effort in that. EVH made a great tribute to Rush on Pleasuredome from the F.U.C.K album. Giving a nod to Xanadu

It just has everything. At one time in my teens I could play nearly every Rush track note for note from the debut up to Moving Pictures. I have forgotten most now but the intro from the Trees is still etched in my memory and to this day I can pick up my classical guitar and still play it perfectly. How weird is that?
