Artists you think should play the Super Bowl.

So in light of Lady Gaga's excellent performance at the Super Bowl tonight, what are some artists you think should play future Super Bowl Halftime Shows?

I feel like I'll be written off by a lot of folks for this, but if I weren't "the queenmaster" I'd still say this.

Queen + Adam Lambert.

They've been touring with nothing but great success for years now, and they don't show any signs of stopping, this summer making their second round through the US. Adam is a legitimate pop star in his own right and is known by many of the younger game watchers, and Queen are Queen of course. What's more important though, THEY HAVE THE PERFECT SONGS!!!

We Will Rock You

We Are The Champions

Another One Bites The Dust

with those three songs alone, Queen have more essential sports anthems than most other bands can dream of having. Not only that, but everybody knows the songs! Toss in Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Under Pressure, Somebody To Love, Don't Stop Me Now, or a snippet of Boh Rhap, and you've got yourself a setlist practically everybody knows and loves. You could even add two of those and move We Are The Champions to a special post-game slot, I mean, they'll be playing it over the intercom anyway, why not have it live?

I think it would be a shame if Q+AL never played The Super Bowl given their songs and live authority. Plus, it might be just a big enough deal to maybe....MAYBE....convince John to come back and play one little show more.

Your thoughts?

FOO FIGHTERS

I was just reading an article where they were mentioned for this. They would be amazing!!!!! They've sold out Wembley and have way more than enough legitimate, pulse-raising, Super Bowl worthy, halfway sporty hits for this. Potential setlist:

All My Life, My Hero, Learn to Fly, Best Of You, Everlong

might need to shave that down...but it would work wonders.

Metallica. They would have to play Fuel.

They have to get it sometime. Stadiums always play Enter Sandman, and they're about the only metal band with enough mainstream crossover to really pull it off.

A skeleton version of Johnny Cash...

:blaze: "I'd love to wear a rainbow every day,

And tell the world that everything's OK,

But I'll try to carry off a little darkness on my back,

'Till things are brighter, I'm the Man In Black."
