Eel Yddeg
4 stars. Good but flawed. "Diadects and Narpets" especially isn't too great. Best is "In The Valley"/"The Fountain". Imo. Edited January 21, 2017 by Eel Yddeg
LedRush
I've long felt that this song is Neil's best lyrical work...an epic poem that works on several levels with music which complements the story so well.
Mosher
I think this is a brilliant work. The story as a metaphor for a human life has always worked for me. The much maligned Didacts and Narpets in my opinion couldn't be better. It conveys the turmoil and insanity of adolescence perfectly. Nevertheless, No One at the Bridge is the best track, by far, on a great song. TFOL isn't perfect, but on a five star scale I gave it five. I think they were too young when it was written, not enough direct perspective on a life to really hit the points perfectly.Maybe that's why the songs they had lived through (Up to No One) work so well.
