A friend gave me this challenge. This is what I gave him. An "earworm" is a song that won't leave your head, btw. In this context, it's a very unwelcome song... that won't leave your head (sometimes at least), though you really wish it had never ever entered.

Greatest:

A Day in the Life by The Beatles

Hey Jude by The Beatles

Layla by Derek and the Dominos

Satisfaction by The Rolling Stones

Venus in Furs by The Velvet Underground

Roadrunner by The Modern Lovers

Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin

Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd

Go Your Own Way by Fleetwood Mac

Baba O'Riley by The Who

Favorites:

Procession by New Order

Twist by Tones on Tail

How Soon is Now by The Smiths

Airbag by Radiohead

Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd

Map Ref 41N 93W by Wire

Go Your Own Way by Fleetwood Mac

Tomorrow Never Knows by The Beatles

Dear Prudence by The Beatles

Red Barchetta by Rush

Worst:

We Didn’t Start the Fire by Billy Joel

Small Town by John Melloncamp

You Oughta Know by Alanis Morissette

Ironic by Alanis Morissette (her particularly-potent badness deserves two entries)

I’m Like a Bird by Nelly Furtado

Jeremy by Pearl Jam (wailing pathos is best left for war documentaries)

Every Rose Has its Thorn by Poison

Pretty Fly… by The Offspring

Killing in the Name by Rage Against the Machine

Desperado by The Eagles

Earworm (flee my head unwelcome parasite):

Gangnam Style by Psy

Macarena by Los del Rio

Who Let the Dogs Out by Baja Men

Mmm Mmm Mmm by Crash Test Dummies

All Star by Smash Mouth

Ice Ice Baby by Vanilla Ice

Achy Breaky Heart by Billy Ray Cyrus

Bittersweet Symphony by Verve

Mambo #5 by Lou Bega

Wannabe by the Spice Girls

Fingers too clumsy

Voice too loud

But I'm one...
