This is a thread I haven't seen before!

Out of all of Alex Lifeson's riffs he crafted, which one do you think is the VERY best?

For me, I think it actually might be the one at 4 minutes in in "Secret Touch". WOW.

One of my favorites is the one from Natural Science, about 2:20 into the song. So good.

I also love the one he does in Ghost Of A Chance after Geddy sings "and make it last". Very atmospheric-sounding, I would say.

The first Alex riff that comes to mind is the intro riff to Working Man.

I think it might also be my favourite Alex riff.

Oh, yes! To both. Especially the part in Ghost Of A Chance. Isn't that haunting? :)

Song opening riffs........for newer songs I'll go with The Anarchist, mid-career I'll go Limelight and early career Bastille Day.

Notice I went backward in time there. :7up:

That bit in Hemispheres leading into "The universe divided as the heart and mind collided". Has always been my favorite Alex moment.

A Farewell To Kings deserves a mention. As it always does because no one ever seems to mention it. One of my top ten Rush songs actually.
