Super25Smasher
Just tried listening to the Carnal Knowledge album. Haven't heard it in years. I had to turn it off midway through Runaround. They're just not for you then. That's probably the best Van Hagar album. Its the heaviest yes, don't agree that it was all that great though. Best VHagar for me was OU812. I like that one too. My favorite Van Hagar album was Balance!

Rod in Toronto
Van Hagar on fire right here: I love Eddie with his little Steinberger. He used it in Summer Nights, Get Up, Pleasure Dome, Fire in the Hole and Me Wise Magic.
Wayne
That is awesome Rod I would rank the Van Hagar albums:1. OU8122. Carnal Knowledge3. Balance4. 5150 The Balance album is interesting, the good bits (Seventh Seal, Aftershock, Don't Tell Me) are really good. The most Sammy VH album ? Certainly some of his better lyrics, Feelin' was apparently a nod to his then-difficult relationship with Edward. Balance is the best produced VH album. A good example would be the monster instrumental Baluchitherium. One of these days Michael Anthony's rumblin' bass on this is gonna blow my speakers.
