For the first time in a long time, for whatever reason, I decided to record something this morning. Just a little groove.

It's a .wav file, and you should be able to play it from your browser.

Thanks. It came after the guitar riff was wrote, I just sort of followed the root notes. Turns out it's the best part.

The guitar tracks sound bad and sloppy, but (a) I was lazy and (b) I actually kind of liked them that way. I'm one-take Jake.

When I re-string my PRS SE 245 (it's bare right now, and I've been playing on a cheap & small Johnson guitar intended for kids, probably...) and get a proper microphone, I can share something more serious... Not Your_Lion tier, but serious.

Jazzy. Nice.
A bit of upright bass would fit right in.

Made a new piece of music tonight but I'm not really proud of it. It's okay, particularly one melody in it, so I think I'll just take that bit out and re-invent the whole thing tomorrow (or later).

There is this from last year though, and it's actually pretty cool.
Two things though: I'm not so happy with the introduction, the idea was to build up but with the way it came out... It's just too tedious.
Then, for the first half of the second verse (1:50 - 2:17) I was supposed to write/record a guitar solo, but I just never did :D so in consequence that part of the track sounds a bit empty & boring.

Also from last year at around the same time, I did this tune which is just guitar/bass.
