Texas King
For me DP in Rock beats Rush album 2112, no brainer. DP in Rock A side = Rush 2112 A SideDP in Rock B side > Rush 2112 B (decent) side. What you think?

x1yyz
2112. Any song off 2112 would beat DP, as far as I am concerned.
Lucas
Where's Narps ?? Side Two of 2112 is probably the most underappreciated side of any album that I can think of .. The fact that Side One is pure classic perfection might be partly to blame, but should not detract from the great songs on Side Two ... On any given day, A Passage To Bangkok, Tears and Something For Nothing could all sneak into my Top 10 Rush songs
Ancient Ways
I'll take 2112 over deep purples greatest hits.
EagleMoon
2112 over anything Deep Purple.
Permanent-Rush
I like both bands and albums!! I can not choose!!
Cyclonus X-1
In Rock crushes 2112 and a number of other "classic" Rush albums.
Mosher
Child In Time is a stellar song, possibly as good as anything on 2112, but overall 2112 is better. In fact, as I think about it, I really have to say 2112 is easily better.
Mr. Not
I choose In Rock. It's roughly 2,112 times better than the other option.
geezer
I vote for In Rock, is my favourite Purple album and one of the most defining moments in rock history.
Fridge
2112 Much as I do enjoy a lot of Deep Purple, they do come off sometimes as a rather tedious jam band....
Texas King
In Rock crushes 2112 and a number of other "classic" Rush albums. I kinda have to agree with this. DP In Rock B-side easily smashes 2112 B-side! Flight of the Rat, Into the Fire, Living Wreck and Hard Lovin' Man >>> A Passage to Bangkok, The Twilight Zone, Lessons, Tears and Something for Nothing. I'm really surprised that 16 people here are voting for 2112 and they think it's easily better album than DP in Rock. I suppose the majority of them didn't even listen the other full album. thirteen
I can't decide tbh. As far as Deep purple albums are concerned, I prefer Fireball to In Rock.
