fraroc
How about some Rush vs. Kansas? For this one, I'm going to choose The Pinnacle, it's one of Kansas' best songs from the 1970s. That's not to say that Fountain is bad or anything, I just enjoy The Pinnacle more, that's all.

Lucas
The Pinnacle is a really good song, but Fountain is so unique - a perfect mess of heavy metal testosterone and developing genius Early Rush were so exciting because there was such a sense of ambition and pushing the envelope The Fountain Of Lamneth

Then you can't really vote accurately. :) Well, I like almost all Rush songs more than Kansas so I was just extrapolating :)

Although they aren't at the top of the heap they're way up there. The Pinnacle is just a great well-crafted song.

Kerry had become a born again christian at that point and so had Dave Hope. Throw in another hardcore christian (John Elefante) in the mix and you have an effort to make the band into a full-blown christian rock band. Steve and Robby, being generally nonreligious didn't like the direction they were heading in and wanted out.
