Is this a real sign or not?

I bought a book not to long ago, there the author have signed the book. I bought the book on the author official site (she is also a artist)

But how do I know for sure that its really the author that have signed the book? And not just someone else that have copied the sign?

Look up the signatures online and compare. If it came from her official site, it's likely it was probably signed by her
