The X-Files

Futurama

Cowboy Bebop

Twin Peaks

The Simpsons

I really loved the first season of Stranger Things too. If the second season delivers like that then it's a serious contender for me.

Same here.

If it doesn't...well the first season will forever rank as one of the greatest seasons of television ever.

I can't wait for the DVD.

Does netflix release their shows on DVD? Seems that would go against what they do with the whole streaming shows whenever you want to watch them.

Orange Is The New Black is on DVD...

That makes sense. The show has become huge for netflix. May as well try and cash in on it.

I just thought it would be kind of odd for netflix to do that since it might prevent people from joining them. But they're making so much money right now, it probably doesn't matter to them.

Sopranos

Seinfeld

When these two were on they were REALLY on. Problem for me was that they both didn't sustain. At their best though, they're up there with my personal favorites.

The Sopranos was brilliant throughout its run. The only problem I see is the death of Nancy Marchand. That had to have changed the story direction for David Chase. And Steve Buscemi's casting seemed a little opportunistic.

Seinfeld crashed after Larry David left. It became a totally different show with the characters becoming shallow, bitter, angry and despicable. Plus the plots revolved around totally unbelievable situations. Seinfeld at its peak was the opposite of all that.

For a period of time, I loved Da Ali G Show

Loved that show! Respeck! Funkyzeit with Bruno was good, too. Didn't care too much for the feature films.

M*A*S*H*

The Big Bang Theory

Seinfeld

All In The Family

Mythbusters

MASH and all in the family both went a few seasons longer than they should...but that doesn't detract from the brilliance of the first half dozen seasons.

Isn't that true for any of them on this list (at least the scripted ones)?

a bunch of cartoons would make up my actual top five, but since they're so hard to choose between and folks on here probably don't care about Kids Next Door or Ed, Edd, N Eddy, here are some live action shows instead:

Seinfeld

Drake And Josh

Mythbusters

Top Gear

Monk
