Not sure how I forgot The Avengers .. It doesn't get any better

Classic

I forgot about it too even though I have all the eps on DVD. Absolutely loved that show.

Of all time? I'll have to do a few lists.

1. Star Trek (original series)
2. Kung Fu
3. The Incredible HULK
4. The Rockford Files
5. Columbo

Unsurprisingly, not too different...though I don't know the order...

- Kung Fu (original 70s show of course)
- Star Trek (original series)
- The Incredible Hulk (Bixby & Lou!)
- Twilight Zone
- In Search Of (Nimoy again but in a host capacity)

There are a lot of great shows but not many continued to deliver for me like the 5 above.

Best sitcom because of its consistency is easily Cheers. Satisfying series finale too. A rarity.

All In The Family deserves a nod though...it just kind of got weaker towards the end.

When these two were on they were REALLY on. Problem for me was that they both didn't sustain. At their best though, they're up there with my personal favorites.

I'm with you too. But they made the cut based on their catalog.
Sopranos was my #1 for years but BB, Dexter destroyed it from creativity standpoint

This is hard!

#1  of all time- Pete and Pete !!  You may have never heard of it.  It was a kid's show on Nickelodeon in the 90's, but it was so cleverly written and such a satire on middle class family life it was hilarious.  It was about 2 red headed brothers ( Pete and Pete, obv.) but would have guest stars like Iggy Pop, Michael Stipe and LL Cool J.  They were supposedly a normal family but everything was just a little off about themselves, their parents, their town; everything was kind of a wonderful alternate universe. My husband found a bootleg set of all 3 seasons somewhere and I love him for it.

Seinfeld
The Sopranos
Northern Exposure
Psych
Monk
Gilmore Girls
In Concert (where they would show a live concert from a college. It was one of the only times to see groups perform before MTV/internet.)

I LOVE THIS SHOW!!

That show is great. Top notch writing and acting. It might be too goofy at times for some but very rarely does a show do eight seasons and maintain the high level a quality that this one did.

I'm still missing the last couple seasons on DVD though. I'll have to rectify that.
